We took contacts with pacifist and other altermondialist groups, and we have people coming from different horizons in the collective. We also contacted interested organizations (NGOs, members of south-american comunities in belgium, etc..). We also have contacts and support from the different local Indymedia collectives in belgium. And finally, we took contacts with a lot of individuals that are willing to participate.

introductory_statement:
The goal of the brussels collective is to develop news at the local level. We have found a lot of people with lots of energy interested in creating such an imc. Brussels being a truly multi-cultural city (frenchspeaking, flemishspeaking, a large community of people from countries all around the world), we feel it would be a good thing to offer them a platform on which the important issues not always present in the mainstream press can be debated. And we are of course open to collaboration with Indymedia belgium, and the local collectives in belgium, north of france, luxemburg and the netherlands.
