Hi,

Something relevant, which might help you:
http://Cyprus.IndyMedia.org
is *three* imc groups rolled into one!

Our groups are working as a united whole, existing in three branches. We are physically divided by a militarised border (mine fields, tanks, machine- guns), and culturally divided by language, religion, and ethnicity, and yet, we are able to actualise our internationalist and radical politics to work together as a single entity.

If *we* can do it, between communities which have gone through several wars against each together during which our people people were killing each other in the streets, I'm sure the San Fansisco people can do it too. But it means abandoning some of the pathology which dominates the leftist community in the US, such as institutionalised racism, analysis- paralysis, an obession with individualism, and an ossified liberalism disguising itself as "revolutionary".

I'm sure that the progressive and alternative community of SF can find ways to do this meaningfully.

The new-imc work- group can be of help in this, if you let it!
