hi,

some folks here in amsterdam have been talking a bit about this issue and one idea is that we have a form for imc projects. just like the new imc form, but much simpler, etc. and we have some simple criteria that goes along with it. cause part of what we want to make sure we're doing is keeping everyone at the minimum informed of the new projects that are being initiated, especially if they want a subpage or a subdomaine.

i think we want to have some flexibility in terms of our process concerning internal indymedia projects. collectives wanting to be a part of the network have to go through a more "serious" process (not inflexible). for the topic sites, i know i've heard ideas about the need to have at least several imcs involved in the project as one basic criteria. and needing it to be open to others participating seems like another one. what else is reasonable?

but creating a kind of form for new projects and then listing them on the sites would be a great thing for (1) announcing and alerting the rest of the network to the cool things going on (2) advertising these for others in the larger world so that these projects are used (i assume a critical goal).....

what do people think?
