[New-imc] Roll Call

Hi List,

My name is Joe. I live in Boston, and have recently started doing tech
work here, mostly related to our site's conversion from active to
dadaIMC. Before that, I worked with the Twin Cities IMC on the same
thing. I am greatly looking forward to involvement with Indymedia that
does not involve coverting old active sites.  

I'll be helping out with the '04 Democratic Convention coverage here, and
have been following the discussion about doing an event IMC, versus an
issue IMC on the Democratic party, vs. just adding coverage to the Boston
IMC. We'll be working through this issue at our general meeting this
coming weekend, so early next week we should better be able to articulate
what we think is right for this situation. While our event may be coming
up too quickly to arrive at an ideal solution that everyone's happy with,
I think the bigger question of how IMCs handle high-profile events like
this is an interesting one, and hope I can be of help even after our
little event has passed.
