Would it be worth also introducing the 3 month trial concept as a
standard idea , or see how it plays out with qc first?

I think the 3 months of more intensive mentoring and evaluation (to weed
out dud imcs) is an idea worth its time. the debris of failed imcs down
the sidebar is a testament to this.
