Hi Brad,

This is Jay from the Philly IMC. I'm also involved with the new-imc
working group, the global Indymedia working group that helps aspiring IMC
projects like your own become an "official" part of the Indymedia
network. Glad to meet you!

I'm also glad to see that things are rolling (again) in Bellingham. If you
haven't already taken a look (though you probably have), the next step
would be to wade your way through
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcHowTo". That document should
give you a pretty good guide about how to proceed.

Once you're really confident that you're ready to join the network, the
new-imc group should really hook you up with some people from your region
to help you through the new-imc process. (anyone out there on this list
from Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, etc. who may be able to do this?) Also,
if you haven't already, building up some communication with some IMCs from
your area would be a great way to develop confidence and get some good
advice on how to plow ahead.

Let the new-imc working group know if you have any questions as you wind
your way through forming your IMC and we'll see if we can help.

Good luck!

Jay
