i checked your website and it looks good, but i came across some
questions, mainly: why do you have Perth's editorial policy on your
site? http://collective.perthimc.asn.au/edpol.htm

We are on Perth's server. And our ed pol is essentially the same
(Melb also) with 2 additions. Until we are accepted by IMC and sort
out urls etc... we can't do much in that direction and Perth have
done heapz for us already.
The Darwin Ed Pol was already submitted @ New IMC (June 11, 04)

Clara - Also, I think i asked that earlier: can you give us a short
description of your collective? like how many and what kind of people
are involved in it?

have already done so.
Fi did this on Oceania, bit of me in there.
"I had my baby that night, 21 August 1979 at 10-10pm by kerosene
lantern. At 6am the next morning we (new baby and all) were on the
back of the red-truck crossing over the ridge into Terania Ck where
we were part of the 1st Environmental Non-Violent Direct Action which
successfully saved pristine rainforests from being logged. It became
a National Park and many visitors still enjoy the walk to Protestors
Falls.
In 1982 the area directly above and around Tuntable Falls in the
Nightcap ranges was threatened by logging. I ran commumications with
NAG (Nightcap Action Group). This area also included many sacred
sites and the elders of the Bundjulung Tribe took some of the men to
show them their Dreaming and grave sites. Terania Ck was women's
country and this area was men's sacred area. Again we beat the big
logging companies and created the Nightcap National Park.
Straight on from the Nightcap myself and a few others travelled to
Tasmania and went up the Gordon River to make camp. We had to find an
area in this fragile forest of Huon Pine and Myrtle Beech trees for
up to 100 people to camp overnight before they were taken to
strategic spots to be arrested.
This was in late 1982 and soon swarms of people of all ages and
backgrounds arrived "up-river" to register their protest against the
proposed damming of the Franklin River by getting arrested.
I maintained and co-ordinated CB radios, our only communication, not
an easy task when batteries are charged by pedal-power and the rain
never stopped. I also drove boats to drop off protestors at various
spots - I passed the test for a boat licence in Hobart. In 1983 Bob
Hawke's Labor Party gained power because of their NO DAMS promise and
the SW Tas became a World Heritage listed area.
In 1998 I came to Jabiluka, by request, again co-ordinating and
operating communications. It was when I took an R & R visit to Darwin
after 4 months at Jabiluka that I first encountered a PARIAH poster
and met Mick Lambe.
The poster read RACIST MANDORAH HOTEL INTRODUCES DRESS-CODE TO "HELP
KEEP THE BLACKFELLAS OUT!" Having had a taste of NT racism in Jabiru
(with their apartheid-like social club) I wanted to meet this Mick
Lambe, Co-ordinator of PARIAH.
He took me to the Cox Peninsula where I got some much needed rest in
the beautiful stone-house he built on Aboriginal Land with permission
from Traditional Owners. I met the Belyuen Aboriginal people and was
overwhelmed by their friendliness and their obvious love for Mick."

Rob and Mikki are both NAP members. Drug law reform, anti-racism,
anti-war activists. Plenty of them in action @ the NAP site. We all
have extensive and chequered activist backgrounds.
