Hi John,

Good to hear from you.  This is Jay from IMC Philadelphia.  I'm also part 
of the new-imc working group, the group that helps aspiring IMCs like yours 
wade through the details of joining the indymedia network.

Having an IMC in Normal will be great!  I'm excited to hear things are 
coming together.  I'm sure you've already familiar with the information at 
"http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcHowTo", which has a 
blow-by-blow list of things to do to become an IMC, but if not, taking a 
look there is the next step.  I'm sure you're already well on the way to 
doing many of those things.  The key thing to do is organize, organize, 
organize.  After you're wll organized, joining the network is a relatively 
simple process.

Have you been in touch yet with the Urbana-Champaign IMC, the Chicago IMC, 
and/or any other local IMC groups?  If you haven't, that would be a great 
thing to do.  They could help you out in a lot of ways.  Looks like 
Indymedia is blooming in places all over Illinios . . . :)
