Hi, my name is Kevin and I am currently going to college in central florida. I attended the FTAA protest in miami and helped with the video working group while there. Those who were part of the video group in miami may know me as JD.

My reason for contacting this list is that I have had an interest in getting central florida Indymedia going again ever since the FTAA ended. I don't know for sure that this is the best list to contact, but it seemed like a good place to start.

Although I was not involved with the CFL-IMC originally, I have found that there is a lot of interest in having a working indymedia center here, especially among people that haven't been involved with indymedia projects in the past.

I was hoping to get some suggestions and information on the process of getting it going again. I have been told that the documentation from when the IMC originally formed is still around. I have contacted the list (cfl-imc) and have had some response from people who have been involved in the past. However, my attempts at getting a meeting scheduled with those on the list have failed. I am familiar with the process of the IMC meetings as I was involved in a number of them while planning with the FTAA-IMC. Also, there are many people who have mentioned an interest to me directly, but that have not yet joined the cfl-imc mail-list.

I look forward to any insights, information and suggestions you can provide,
Kevin
