Hi Martha!

This is bht from portland.indymedia.org, and I also help a bit with the
new-imc process!

it is good to hear of your interest in starting an indymedia site for
columbia gorge. it would be good to know what kind of outreach has
already beeen done, because right now any groups that would like a place
to post news from that area are welcome to use portland.indy

also, we have regions set up here to cover various parts of cascadia and I
had though we had one for columbia gorge, but that just isnt so. If there
were enough interest and stories coming from that area we could set up a
"columbia gorge" region on this existing site.

i sont want to discourage you from attempting to form an imc for your
area, i think that is wonderful! i just want to offer an existing outlet
for the time being and any other type of help that i can offer. i am sure
other portland imcistas would also be willing to help independant media
coming from the gorge!
