[New-imc] Guamanian - Introduction

Hi New-IMC-istas;

I am one of the original volunteers at Victoria IMC (a small Canadian
IMC node) and am currently a member of the Victoria IMC Collective, 
doing technical and editorial work on the site.

Victoria IMC is undergoing a renewal, and as part of this we are
re-establishing official participation in the global mailing lists. I
have volunteered to represent Victoria IMC on several of the mailing
lists, including new-imc.

At the global level, our goal is to make a contribution to editorial
policy discussions, global documentation projects, and to share
experiences with other IMCs that are attempting to renew and rebuild
after a period of collapse or burn-out.

Personally, participation in the new-imc list is very important to me,
as I think the new-imc process is the key forum where decisions about 
the future direction of the overall Indymedia network are being made. 
(For most IMCs, the new-imc process is where they step back and look at 
the big picture. After launch, day-to-day operational issues become more 
urgent.)
