Hi there Cal,

This is Jay from the Philadelphia IMC. I'm also involved with the
new-imc at indymedia.org working group, the group that helps aspiring IMCs
like your own through the first steps of joining the Indymedia
network. Glad to see you want to climb aboard!

The below form looks great. Sounds like you've been doing a lot of work
toward putting together your IMC. Have you been in touch with people from
other IMCs in Texas, or other close-by IMCs? I don't know if anyone from
any of those IMCs happens to be on the new-imc e-mail list right now, but
if so, maybe someone who fits the bill would be a great "sponsor" through
the new-imc process.

In the meantime, if you already haven't, take a close look through all the
information at you'll find at
"http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/NewImcHowTo". That should give you
a good overview of the steps an aspiring IMC takes. It's a long road
sometimes, but well worthwhile.

So, here's to the hope that someone from an IMC in your region steps up to
work with you as you wheel and deal your way through this next stage of
organizing, especially as it relates to joining the Indymedia
network. Either way, feel free to ask any questions to
new-imc at indymedia.org. Someone on the list will try to come up with an answer.

Good luck!

Jay
