Good morning.  Hopefully things are slowing down before Christmas and all the holidays!  I attended the Desert Storm film at IMC last Tuesday with several of my WAC co-workers.  It was a very powerful piece.  Thanks for supporting those stories!

I am writing today in regard to an upcoming visitor from Thailand who will be in Seattle to discuss citizen participation in economic policy development, U.S. media, and trade policy formulation.  Under the sponsorship of the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Program, the World Affairs Council will host Mr. Sommai YANOI December 18-21.  Mr. Sommai is a journalist for the second largest newspaper in Thailand.  He covers economic and business events in his daily column which concentrates on trade and economics, often concerning U.S.-Thailand bilateral trade.  He is seeking to increase his knowledge of trade promotion programs and U.S.-Thailand trade relations.

We would like to coordinate a meeting with a member of the IMC.  Perhaps you could provide insight into media coverage of globalization, IMC's online media, as well as local business and individual input into formulation of trade policy - and how affects the developing world.  Is there an hour on December 19 or 20 that would be convenient?  Please reply at your earliest convenience.  I look forward to hearing from you.
