[Seattle-editorial] site redesign: comments from evan

hi everyone,
this is from evan. i asked him for his feedback. i think we should
take his strong critique with a grain of salt as he suggests and he
knows that this was a quick mockup. but he has some good suggestions
in terms of looking at these other sites and getting some feedback
with some of these designers.
we build from here! i think it's a great beginning and that's where
we need to start. i will check with evan about any contacts he might
have for those sites. we used to have imc-presentation where we
could discuss these issues of site design. that list has been "dead"
for a while and was never utilized. i think sharing these kinds of
skills and best practices and design tips/support would be great.
very well put together sites really help in terms of getting people
to use the site, stay on the site, come back to the site.
