[Seattle-editorial] Media making tonight (11/7)

Greetings,

Lot of things to respond to. First, I think a
discussion of the website redesign at the meeting is a
good idea. Also, Adam the editor for Real Change said
he would be coming in so we can discuss ways to
collaborate (he said this a few weeks ago, I will
confirm).

In regards to an Editorial meeting next week, I think
it is a great idea. The Editorial Collective is long
overdue for a meeting and with this fabulous (!!!!)
list that Susan made we have something concrete to
talk about. Primarily, the holiday period for posting
features and perhaps the types of features we are
putting up. Does anyone see subject material that we
are missing?

Joseph and my comments about features staying on top
for a period has generated good discussion. I think
the most important thing, is we cannot make a policy
about this and should take each instance of this
case-by-case. 

I want to thank Susan for holding off on her article
and agree that waiting until Friday was not a good
request on my part. Each instance of multiple postings
can be evaluated by the posters. It hasn't been an
issue in the past (that has been raised at least). We
should just continue to follow our policy as is, and
if someone has a concern bring it up on the list. 

Beer after the meeting tonight? Toasting Jonathan? I
plan on buying him a drink (I know not commensurate
for his colossal effort), and hope others show their
thanks also. Let the beer of good will flow in
abundance!
