title: Indymedia-Israel Activist Speaking in Town Tonight, Tomorrow

Ronen Eidelman, media-maker, peace activist, and a founding member of 
<a href="http://indymedia.org.il">Indymedia-Israel</a> will be speaking tonight 
at 7pm at the University 
Unitarian Church (6556 35th Ave NE).  Ronen has been touring cities in the 
U.S., giving a firsthand account of the situation in Israel and Palestine, 
and the various peace and human rights efforts currently working for change 
in the area.

<p>Topics to be discussed include:<br>
* the role of independent media in the Israel/Palestine context<br>
* dissent in Israel<br>
* the relationship between Middle East conflicts and Globalization<br>

<p>Ronen will be hosting an informal discussion on Wednesday with an Indymedia 
focus, at the IMC, at 7pm.  Both of these events are free and open to the 
public.
