Right-wing Seattle talk radio stalwart KVI (owned by Fisher Broadcasting) 
has followed industry behemoths Fox and Clear Channel by extending its 
support for war with off-air organizing initiatives. Numerous listeners and 
anti-war groups report that KVI has been <a 
href="http://seattle.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=24987">organizing 
groups of pro-war thugs</a> to break up Seattle peace demonstrations by 
accosting or assaulting demonstrators. In response, activists have called 
for complaints to be directed towards the station's advertisers, including 
the <b>Bon Marche</b>, <b>TIAA-CREF Investments</b>, <b>Verizon</b>, 
<b>Wells Fargo</b>, <b>Sky Nursery</b>, <b>Greg's Japanese Auto</b> and others.

<p>Clear Channel, the notorious radio behemoth, has been criticized for its 
sponsorship of a nationwide series of <a 
href="http://www.takebackthemedia.com/radiogaga.html"> pro-war political 
rallies</a>. Fox responded to a recent anti-war demonstration outside their 
New York offices by using an electronic message board to <a 
href="http://www.bergenrecord.com/page.php?qstr=eXJpcnk3ZjcxN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXkyJmZnYmVsN2Y3dnFlZUVFeXk2MzU5NDQy">taunt 
demonstrators</a>.
<p>Peace rallies continue to take place across the country, and many 
opponents of war are identifying <a 
href="http://nyc.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=52341">distorted 
corporate media coverage</a> of the war as perhaps the major obstacle to 
peace. It is now common to see protest signs criticizing the corporate 
media. Some media critics have organized protest events specifically 
targeting the media, including a <a 
href="http://www.takebackthemedia.com/cnnprotestla.html">CNN protest</a> in 
Los Angeles,
demonstrations targeting <a 
href="http://seattle.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=25041"> Fox News 
Network</a> in several cities, and a national <a 
href="http://seattle.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=25045">NBC 
advertiser boycott</a>.
