The Seattle IMC Editorial Collective presents
**** A FEATURE-WRITING WORKSHOP ****
THURSDAY, APRIL 18 7:30PM
at the Independent Media Center, 1415 Third Ave in Seattle
You're already familiar with the Seattle IMC site, and some of the other
100+ Indymedia sites around the world. You know that articles are posted to
the Indymedia newswire by anyone with a piece of information or a story to
tell.
But what about the center column features? Who decides what stories to
feature, who chooses or writes them? How do they get published?
If you've asked these questions, the Seattle IMC Editorial Collective wants
YOU to become a feature writer. Several of the long-suffering and thankless
Indymedia volunteers who have been writing the bulk of features for the
last two years now have families, other activist commitments and/or even
fulltime jobs--and need to be assisted or relieved by new volunteers.
That's where you come in.
Come to the IMC this Thursday evening at 7:30 to receive an introduction to
Features--how they're written, submitted and approved, and how to become
part of the Seattle IMC Editorial Collective.
See you Thursday,
Jonathan
