note: for those of you who weren't at the meeting on tuesday who are
on the seattle editorial list, it was discussed by jeremy and a bit
by brandon that the seattle imc was looking at different code bases
for making a change from active. sfactive had been one that was
discussed. several people spoke up about the need for some
comparisons between the different codes. it was suggested to use
seattle editorial list because it was within its mandate - how the
site looks and functions and the seattle tech list. so that's why
i've been sending these to the list. i will forward a more
comprehensive summary to the seattle tech list once i'm subscribed.

Things are going quite well here with pdx imc. The new site should be
launching next weekend and is using mir. It is an impressive site we have
put together. Lots more functionality, a more refined design look and
technically very advanced. Allowing a couple weeks after the launch to fix
the inevitable bugs and small issues that crop up, within a month the new
site should be solid. This is the first stage and in a few months we will be
adding more new capability to the site. Mir is excellent in how easy it is
to change and add features. It is remarkably flexible.
