this is an ongoing issue and some imcs have resolved it by going to white background - even those imcs who consider themselves "radical" or more radical than others :)) like imc-sf. we've had a discussion before in the editorial collective a long time ago about the site and new designs.
perhaps it's time to revisit it and invite some of the web designers and graphic artists in our new database to come and help us with redesigning the seattle site. there are also others who have said they would help when the time came. perhaps that is now.
