Well we were both working on the same thing it seems. Here's my version. I'd
mainly like to expand it to be more West Coast.

subtitle: PRESIDENT SELECT LEANS ON THE LEFT COAST
title: West Coast Activists Plan to Stop Bush

<p>The entire West Coast is planning protests in honor of George Bush's
weeklong
  visit. <a href="http://sdimc.org/">San Diego</a>, kicks of the &quot;Just
say
  no to Dick and Bush Tour&quot; on Aug 14th. While <a
href="http://portland.indymedia.org/">Portland</a>
  gets into the act on August 21st.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.mvp-seattle.org/">Seattle activists</a> are planning
a
  welcoming committee on Friday, August 22nd. Although complete details of
his
  trip have not been made public, media reports indicate that he will be at
a
  fundraising luncheon in Bellevue on the 22nd. He may also be visiting a
salmon
  hatchery on that same day. </p>
<p>The events are expected to draw a wide range of citizens who are upset
over
  the Bush Administration’s war against Iraq, environmental policies,
attitudes
  towards gays, slashing of social programs, curtailing of civil liberties,
and
  <a href="http://idaho.indymedia.org/news/2003/07/3209.php">many other
issues</a>
  you won't <a
href="http://victoria.indymedia.org/news/2003/06/14979.php">hear
  about on TV</a>.</p>
<p> There are rallies planned at numerous location <a
href="http://sbs.seattleactivist.org/">around
  the Northwest</a>, both Friday and Saturday. In addition there has been a
call-out
  for decentralized direct action by affinity groups on Friday in Bellevue.
There
  has also been discussion of using relatively new organizing techniques
such
  as “<a
href="http://www.indymedia.org/display.php3?article_id=337976&amp;group=webc
ast">Flash
  Mobs</a>.” </p>
<p><b>Seattle Area Events </b></p>
