"Despite being inactive, Jonathan has held onto password privileges and has
greater access to the website than anyone currently on editorial, that's
why I contacted him."

I do not have any password privileges not shared by all editorial members,
and I have repestedly expressed and demonstrated my open willingness to
share the specialized knowledge I have with other volunteers.

In addition, the editorial group went for over a year without ever holding
meetings, before they were relaunched earlier this year. That wasn't
necessarily a good thing, but we managed. Meeting nonattendance has never,
in the history of the Seattle IMC, ever been used to excude someone from
membership from any part of the organization.

"Perhaps that shouldn't have been the case, perhaps that power and
knowledge should have been transfered over to others who were more
actively involved in editorial, so it could be clear who was doing what."

When I stepped back in the summer, I made it very clear to everyone my
desire to share all the official and unofficial knowledge I had re.
editorial best practices and site access. I have never failed to respond
to any request for information from anyone involved with the editorial
group.
