Hello Everyone,

Margo Adair and I have been talking about the upcoming general meeting on
the 16th (I assume 7-10pm, since we need that much time to start to sort
things out)and would like to ask for some help from you in planning the
meeting. We want to do everything possible to have a save and productive
meeting that will lay out the issues to be dealt with and get the work done
necessary to make Seattle IMC viable at whatever level it needs to be.

Since there is likely to be too much for one meeting (after all-500 years of
capitalism and 4 years of seattle IMC is a lot to deal with in 3 hours), we
would like you to let us know what you think about some questions. The first
set will help prepare you for the meeting and the second set will help us.
Please send these letters directly to HYPERLINK
"mailto:info at toolsforchange.org"info at toolsforchange.org. They will be held
as absolutely confidential unless you specifically say otherwise.

Margo and I are happy to be of service for this meeting to help lay the
groundwork for the future of Seattle IMC. There is a lot of potential to
hold a space for independent media in Seattle, and a lot of decisions and
work that needs to be done in order to make it possible. So lets go forth
and make media.

Remember, the enemy is corporate media and ignorance, lets not eat our own
selves up…..

In Solidarity,

Bill Aal (riseup and Tools for Change)

and Margo Adair ( Tools for Change)

9(he note has gone to seattle-imc, tech and fundraising, please forward to
others who need to see this.0

Please look at the following questions and write us with your answers for
the second batch.

For your selves, don’t send us this info:

1) Do you remember the first time you heard of Seattle Seattle IMC?
What inspired you about it? What was the political purpose of seattle IMC?

2) Does it still mean those things to you now?

3) What did you join seattle IMC for? And Why did you leave active
duty, if you did?

4) What would it gain you if Seattle IMC in Seattle survives?

5) If you haven’t been involved recently, what would it take for you
to come back and contribute whatever little or much you could?

6) What is your highest vision for seattle IMC in Seattle, where could
we go?

For Us send us answers please! Please be as concise as possible, knowing we
may have a lot of responses, yet take the space you need to say what needs
to be said. Answer at least the 1st five and what ever of the rest makes
sense.

7) What have been the strengths of indymedia in Seattle to date? What
do we want to bring forward in the next round?

8) What will it take for you to feel safe, and able to speak in the
meetings and on the list serves?

9) What is the political purpose that Seattle IMC now serves?

10) Organizationally, what are the most immediate needs that Indymedia has
to survive?

11) What are the obstacles to meeting those needs?

12) What could take place after survival that would build a vibrant
Seattle IMC?

13) What needs to happen in order to start mapping out the future?

14) If you were to choose one thing to accomplish in the next meeting
what would it be?

15) What are the three most important issues to resolve ?(it may take
numerous meetings to do so)
