i can't make this as will be out of town. I had posted some days ago
wondering if an ed meeting could happen over a weekend? I could make
some time this weekend? like sunday mid-day? otherwise I will respond
to what comes out of the meeting.
I like walt's suggesition of discussion around what the community needs
and hearing from the community about that. I also am in full support of
a newswire divided in three (local, non-local, all) and the creation of
whatever categories we need to involve the community and cover the right
topics. Those category pages could be driven by stakeholders in the
community. i hesitate at them becoming advocacy pages but i'm open to
discussion, advocacy is good.
obviously there's lots to get going on feature and look wise with design
too. hopefully we'll be able to ping some of the graphic/web design
volunteers from the database soon and get them in the dscussion and
introduce them to the tech crew for access needs.
