Here are some details on the Denver court case:

In the case of Wendy Faustin v. City and County of Denver, CO, the 10th
Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a citizen's right to protest on an
overpass
and ruled that the police attempts to prevent such a protest were
unconstitutional (No. 00-1168 - D.C. No. 98-N-2554). See:
