any late-nighters up? we're lonnng overdue. hopefully, this will only be the first of several features that should go up. we need to include a link to the Vietnam Vets event in Bremerton on the 15th. And there's a children's march for peace on the 16th. More besides, I'm sure.
so something more seattle specific - coming up soon.

subtitle: THE WORLD SAYS NO TO WAR
title: 528 Cities (and growing) Will Protest War on February 15
In what promises to be the single largest mobilization against war in history, millions will take to the streets on Saturday, February 15 in a worldwide effort to preempt a devastating US attack on Iraq.
<P>At last count, protests have been organized in <a href="http://www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=725">528 cities</a> across the globe, including a march and rally in <a href="http://uk.indymedia.org">London</a>. that the <a href="http://www.stopwar.org.uk/">Stop the War Coalition - UK</a> hopes will draw a million UK residents.
<P>In New York, despite a <a href="http://chicago.indymedia.org/front.php3?article_id=19653&group=webcast">US Federal Appeals Court decision</a> to uphold an earlier ruling <a href="http://www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=901">banning anti-war marches in the city</a>, hundreds of thousands of protesters - and over <a href="http://www.unitedforpeace.org/article.php?id=812">50 feeder marches</a> will converge for a massive antiwar protest initiated by <a href="http://www.unitedforpeace.org/">United for Peace & Justice</a>. Many have vowed to march despite the ban by the courts. West Coast activists are also predicting a record turnout for the Feb 16th anti-war convergence in <a href="http://sf.indymedia.org/features/antiwar/">San Francisco</a>.
<P><a href="<a href="http://www.chicagoantiwar.org/feb15mobilization/">The Chicago</a> and <a href="http://www.feb15.org">Seattle</a> protests will feature both an antiwar message and solidarity for immigrant communities currently being victimized by the Bush Administration's drive toward war.
