Hello,

As many of you may know, numerous males had to 'special register' with the
former INS (a.k.a. BCIS) earlier this year. Along with registering, they
must abide by certain rules and regulations. Apparently, many of the
individuals who were registered were not informed or did not understand the
rules surrounding special registration.

Of particular concern at this time with school ending and summer approaching
is the requirement that all males who special registered must reregister
with the BCIS when leaving the country, including trips to Canada and
Mexico. Also, they are only allowed to leave and re-enter the country
through designated "ports of departure". For example, if one is driving to
Vancouver, he cannot reregister at the usual Peace Arch but must cross at
Blaine, WA. If the individual does not register when leaving the United
States, he risks not being allowed in the United States upon returning.

Please forward and/or post the attached flyer and pass on the travel
restriction information. We also have a smaller flyer designed for travel
agencies that can be included with airplane tickets. Just contact me if you
would like me to forward it to you. Similarly, if you would like to know of
designated ports of departure for other states, either click on the link at
the bottom of the flyer or contact me.

Thank you,
Devon

Important Travel & Special Registration Information

If you have
Special Registered
&
are leaving the United States
including travel to Canada or Mexico

You may only leave the U.S. through
designated ports of departure
&
You must reregister with the INS (BCIS)
the same day you leave the country

When returning, you must reenter the U.S. through a designated port of
departure

In Washington State these ports are:
	*	Seattle Tacoma International Airport - take the subway train
from the Main Terminal to the South Satellite. Go up one flight of escalator
stairs to the mezzanine level. Turn left and follow the hallway to the
Immigration office.
	*	Pacific Highway (Blaine) Port of Entry for Vancouver, Canada
- take I5 North to Exit 275, continue north on State Route 543. Pass through
the intersections of Boblet Street, H Street & D Street. Park in the paved
area between SR 543 & southbound traffic lanes. Cross the street & report to
the immigration counter to your immediate right as you enter building.
(note that the designated port of departure is not the usual Peace
Arch entrance to Vancouver, Canada)
	*	Bell Harbor (Seattle) Pier 66 Cruise Ship Terminal
	*  Oroville Port of Entry
	* Port Roberts Port of Entry
	*  Seattle Seaport

You may be denied reentry into the United States,
if you fail to register when leaving the U.S.!!!
