Dear Fellow Activist:

Announcing:
Free Speech TV’s New On-going Media Campaign
“Mobile-Eyes: Resisting War and Repression”

HELP US SPREAD THE NEWS -- SEND THIS NOTICE TO YOUR LISTS AND ASK THEM TO
PASS IT ON!

As the nation’s leading anti-war network, Free Speech TV has pre-empted its
regular broadcast schedule to dedicate its programming almost entirely to
anti-war coverage and voices for peace. The centerpiece of the new
schedule, “Mobile-Eyes: Resisting War and Repression,” provides timely
reports from the frontlines of the war resistance movement, hard-hitting
analysis of US imperial designs and coverage of the crackdown on American
civil liberties through interviews, LIVE event coverage and documentaries.

SPECIAL LIVE PROGRAMMING:
“Mobile-Eyes: Resisting War and Repression” commences with two live two-hour
broadcasts on March 20 and March 21 at 12:00 pm EST from WorldLink TV’s
studios in San Francisco. Pacifica Radio host and producer Dennis Bernstein
provides analysis of the war crisis and growing resistance movements while
FSTV anchor Shannon Service reports from the streets of San Francisco as
activists attempt to shut the city down in protest against the war. We hope
to broadcast live coverage from protests planned for New York this weekend
in conjunction with WorldLink TV and Peace TV, as we have done for peace
rallies that took place January 18, February 15 and March 15, from DC, NY
and around the globe.

NATIONAL & LOCAL PARTNERS -- OUR "MOBILE-ALLIES:"
In coming weeks, FSTV will work with national partner organizations, United
for Peace and Justice, Global Exchange, Cities for Peace, National Network
for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, American Friends Service Committee, Not In
Our Name, International A.N.S.W.E.R. and the National Network to End the
War, to
provide viewers with concrete actions they can take to join in the movements
to resist war in Iraq and safeguard civil liberties at home. FSTV will also
highlight the work of locally based activist organizations such as Chicago’s
Alliance Against the War and the Southwest Youth Collaborative as they
confront
issues relating to the “war on terrorism” in their own communities. We will
also continue to air citizen actions against US aggression from across the
US and
around the world.

SEND US YOUR STORIES:
FSTV seeks to be a lifeline to viewers who want to know more than what
mainstream media is reporting about the war in Iraq and its repercussions.
We recognize that war affects us all—locally, nationally, and
internationally. You know the stories in your community, and we invite you
to share them with us. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SUBMITTING VIDEO FOOTAGE
RELATING TO RESPONSES TO WAR IN YOUR COMMUNITY, EMAIL julie at freespeech.org

ABOUT US:
Free Speech TV is a progressive, non-commercial television network that
works with activists and artists to cultivate an informed and active
citizenry in order to advance social change. In this age of
corporate-controlled media, we present alternative ways to interpret the
world around us, empowering citizens to fight injustice and revitalize
democracy. Featuring diverse, eye-opening social, political, and cultural
works from independent producers and filmmakers, FSTV airs 24/7 on DISH
Network, channel 9415 and part-time on over 70 cable affiliates across the
country. Check out: http://www.freespeech.org/fsitv/html/affiliates.shtml
to find out where FSTV broadcasts in your area. If your local provider
doesn't
’t
carry FSTV, contact your cable access station and ask them to pick us up!

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
If you have a DISH, consider setting up a screening of FSTV’s anti-war
coverage. We will be running “Mobile-Eyes: Resisting War and Repression”
programming during prime time and throughout the day along with "Democracy
Now!"
Issues addressed by our programming may help support efforts your
organization may be
taking to resist the war by highlighting voices of opposition that are
under-reported and under-represented by mainstream press. For more specific
information about programming content, please contact us; and, if you can
think of how we can make more people aware of this important programming,
please let us know.

NEED A DISH?
If you don’t have a DISH and would like to get one, check our website
www.freespeech.org to find out how to purchase and install one for about the
same price as cable. If you purchase a dish from FSTV, some proceeds help
to support our programming. You can also stream programs on our website
from the worlds largest library of progressive audio and video files.
