MEDIA DEMOCRACY AND THE FCC

A special presentation on upcoming Federal Communication Commission action to further deregulate the media industry, the forum focuses on the impact of media consolidation on freedom of speech, competition and ownership diversity.  Participants include Bunnie Reidel, Executive Director of the Alliance for Community Media; FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein; Larry Irving, president of the Irving Group and former head of the National Telecommunications Infrastructure Agency; and Jeff Chester, Executive Director of the Center for Digital Democracy.
