[Seattle-editorial] current feature and categorizing stories

The list of who's using what that's hosted by the bandwidth coop is not
at all up to date. I don't know if these lists are completely current
either but there are quite a few examples for both DADA
(http://www.dadaimc.org/) 20 examples, and mir
(http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Devel/MiR) 7 examples. The MIR sites
tend to be more visually appealing to me.
here's an intersting write up called "Software (,) Politics and
Indymedia" http://mako.yukidoke.org/writing/mute-indymedia_software.html
(note: it contains one bit of out of date info. It states that DADA is
not free software. It is now GPL'd, open source software)
IMC-techies, can anyone weigh in here with codebase experiences and
opinions? The WIKI section for ops/exps is pretty thin. We got a few
responses several weeks ago when after I sent an email to spur some
debate on a new codebase but I'm still curious about more peoples'
opinions. we are exploring and looking for locals techies to be local
techies but until these people bubble to the surface, we're at least
trying to narrow down the pro's and cons of the offerings. Thanks.
