League Releases Ballot Issues Guide



The League of Women Voters 2003 General Election ballot issues guide is now
available.  The 28-page guide includes a comprehensive analysis of state,
King County and Seattle ballot measures.

The guide includes background information and pro and con arguments about:

*       the proposed state constitutional amendment, Initiative 841—repeal
of the ergonomics/workplace safety rule,

*        a County charter amendment authorizing a biennial budget,

*        the Seattle fire and emergency facilities levy and

*        a proposed Seattle charter amendment that would change the way city
council members are elected.
