Think Globally, act Locally.
How can we think globally if we don't read about global issues.
One thing that bugs me about my hometown paper in Cincinnati, the Cincinnati
Enquirer, is it's no non-local content policy. It's as if life outside
Cincinnati doesn't exist.
Let's see: Only 4 out of the 9 current features on the front page are local
in nature, so...
Let's put no non-local features up for a month or two, then in 2004 revisit
the local only policy. If we find it easy and beneficial, we can make the no
non-local feature policy permanent, and then we wouldn't need non-local
posts. Then the non-local news wouldn't exist, right? Or at least we could
rely on others, not ourselves, to be the media for us.
