Hi Everyone,

Ok, so this fundraising email isgoing out to everyone I can think of, as
it's super important that we do this.

As many of you know, the IMC is almost out of money. We've been having
films, volunteer orientation, etc. However, this will just not be enough. We
need a plan. So here it is... I call it the "Make it or Break it Strategy".

On December 18th (I pick this date for many reasons, mainly as it's before
Xmas, and not a weekend, and Thursdays are usually a day people will come
out for). Well on December 18th, the IMC is going to throw a really big
fundraising party... that's my plan at least.

This will be no ordinary fundraising party. If all goes right. This will be
a party specifically for inviting people to donate money to the IMC. I
propose that we get a couple kegs of beer, some wine, and just start
inviting people like crazy throughout November, and December.

Why? Well because we need some breathing room to either a)Workout the plans
that are already in the works, or b)figure out where to move to.

Plan A: There's a lot of effort currently going into finishing the Interim
Structure and Gov docs. There's also a lot of energy coming from a handful
of new volunteers. If we as a collective can support this new energy, we can
use it for good. And maybe able to pull off a new and sustainable IMC in the
current space. But for this to work we need to make more than a few hundred
bucks. We need at least 10k coming in from this party, and 20K would be much
better, as 3 mos is breathing, 6 mos of money is breathing a lot easier.

Plan B: We do all the fundraisers anyway, but we don't make enough money...
say less than 3k total by the end of Dec. We need then to rent a storage
unit, and a moving truck, and shell the IMC until we can regroup and move
somewhere new.

There ya go, a Make it or break it plan.

To do this, I will be willing to do a lot, but I want a team of at least 4
others who are going to commit to help with this. If 4 people don't respond
by next Saturday, I'm not going it alone. If 4 people do step up, I'd love
to throw down and get this done. And you new folks, I'd be more than happy
if any of you would like to help by being one of the 4 people.

Thanks for your indulgence, and support.

Regards,
Gentry
