i don't think we should run this story as is.
i don't think we should say we have a soft spot or if that is even determined.  
also principle of unity # ____ talks about not being affiliated with political parties and i think that it is a fine line to start supporting certain candidates on our feature column.
i also don't know enough about him.
i think talking about the campaign is good and this candidate and links to the weekly and stranger's endorsements, but i'd change the language before running this.
