You know my policy; leave the editorial up to the local IMC. In this
case it's less an editorial decidion than a "do we let them know"
situation, but I still think it should be up to the audio crew at
IMC-Seattle.

There may also be technical issues here too; liveradio.indy can only
(currently) handle ypdir posts from Icecast2 servers. Shoutcast,
Icecast1, or any other software won't work due to incompatability with
Icecast2 YP protocol and the general unpublished nature of their
protocol. I don't know what software they're using (I haven't looked)
but it may not be Icecast2, in which case listing them would mean having
to relay them on one of our servers. We certainly have the bandwidth,
but again, deferred to IMC-Seattle.

Another issue is that once the information is given out to someone it'd
be much more difficult to reverse the decidion. There's currently no
form of authentication needed, they just need Icecast2 and the right URL
to publish. Anyone with access to any current IMC servers could easily
copy this config information and use it anywhere, but that hasn't
happened yet. To date it's been a very handy little interface for
anyone to find which IMC streams are currently available, current as of
3 minutes or so from the time they click on it, and completely automated.

In any case this isn't a technical decidion but an editorial one, and
IMC-Audio has given editorial control to local IMCs, so once again the
decidion goes to IMC-Seattle's audio crew to come to consensus on. Let
me (or any audio tech) know and we'll go from there.
