This then means that both you AND Kellan have been
suggesting this. Why has it not been done yet? There
must in fact be some kind of resistence to the idea!

I think it's very important to understand something
here: there is a very legitmate possibility that I may
not want to hear. This "wrong answer" is: "we are a
writer's club, not a public service group."
If we (I should say "you all") are a writer's club,
then we need to recognize it, and same goes for if we
are a public service. Some goes for "both" AND
"neither". At this point in time, I have no way of
telling IF I want to be involved in the web page,
because I can't tell what it's for. Yes, anyone can
post on the open wire, but really, that's just about
where our public service ends... and you can see for
yourself how valuabe most of the stuff on the wire is
to the typical seattle reader. (Folks have to get
fairly involved before they can confidently make a
feature proposal, at least from what I can tell - so I
really don't see "anyone can make a feature request"
as being a replacement for having a seperate "local
section" for the newswire.)

Not neccesarily. If the Editorial collective is
basically a writer's club, and that's reality, then I
just need to quit entertaining my unrealistic
expectations. If we are just a writer's club, there's
no need for public feedback or even a local section to
the newswire. In fact, this would explain why neither
of these things have happened yet.
Anyway, IF it's more than a writer's club, then it
will take care of this stuff on it's own without me.
If it's not more than a writer's club, then it doesn't
matter. There's no point in me wasting anymore of
anyone's time about it, because it's a self-resolving
issue: the definition of what the web page is for will
be clear either way within a few months.
