The Seattle IMC Editorial WG met formally on 3-11-4 and was
formally opened, there being a Quorum present.
Convener: JEE
Notetaker: JEE
Present: W.S., B.G., J.E.E.
Next formal meeting: March 21st at Cafe Solstice, 4116 University
Way NE (The Ave) at 10:00 a.m. A quorum shall be three active
editors present.
After discussion, the following was concensed upon:
That the Center column would be increased in capacity to allow more
features to be visible on the front page.
(Now completed)
That the donate link in the left column would be made accurate, to
include a correct mailing address for incoming donations, and that
donors be provided information on how to contact us and receive
instructions on making tax free donations, and that the pay pal and
any other features be made functional or removed.
(Pending, Seattletech has just been notifed)
That each active member of the Editorial WG take responsibility for
bringing in at least one person to the group who is not a white
male. That we recognize this to be a requirement of the group, and
of each of us, in order to become more representative of Seattle's
underserved communites, which is our mission.
We recognize our failure to meet this requirement, and that our
legitimacy cannot be certain without increasing our minoriy and
female membership.
(To be done on March 20th, and thereafter at every opportunity)
That the center column be reserved for features about the March
20th March as of 3-18-4 until at least 3-22-4.
That the March 21st Editorial WG meeting be almost entirely
reserved for M-20 feature production and discussion.
That equipment and supplies be moved from SEAIMC storage, and made
available to the Editorial WG as needed, per request.
