Hey ya'll,

FYI:
I just got a phone call from someone (wouldn't give his name) who is
apparently quoted extensively in an article published to the Seattle
newswire. He's freaked because he works for a "media company" and was
quoted in an article by an indymedia reporter (who he identified as
female). He says that he asked her not to write anything he was telling
her down and not to be identified. He's now in fear of losing his job.
He wants to have his name removed from the article and/or have the
whole article removed and mentioned that he may have a laywer contact
the IMC. He asked for the address which I don't know (we do have a PO
Box right now, right? is it on the website?) I told him to send an
email tot eh editorila list serve and explain the situation. I gave him
a sense of how the decision might get made and told him that it would be
worth asking the ed. WG before hiring an attorney.

Come to think of it, I do not know with 100% certainty that he was
reffering to an article published on our newswire or the global, but he
somehow decided that I was someone to contact with this question. He was
able to find my cell phone number somewhere online which may have been
why he decided I was to person to call. I referred him back to the
website for the po box address and suggested that he send email the
editorial list serve.

ugh, Jason
