[Seattle-editorial] SEAIMC Emergency Committee: What are you doing?

Members,

At the last meeting, we elected an "Emergency" committee. A call for
volunteers was made, and Devon, Sheri, Walt, and Rick raised their
hands and agreed to help shepherd the organization during the
'Pause’.

Since that time our situation has gone downhill somewhat, with our
planned move having been thwarted and Tech and Editorial Shrinking.
Tech has one member, and Ed. has at most four active members at this
time. Only Laury is doing substantial work at Editorial.

Question: What have the members of the “Emergency” committee been
doing during the ‘Pause’, and why no report-backs, except from
Rick.

I do not seek to be contentious, but let me get to the point: If the
members of the “emergency” committee are doing the work I apologize,
but part of the responsibility of coordinating is to give feedback
to the group. Accountability requires telling folks what you’re
doing (Or not doing), at least.

I request that each member of the “Emergency” committee report back
as soon as possible on the SEATTLE-IMC list so that we can know what
our challenges and opportunities are. What efforts have been made on
our behalf? And most importantly, what vital and time sensitive
items do we need to be working on now in order to move forward?

Editorial will meet again soon, and we will make a complete report
back to the Collective no later than Monday, May 31st, as to our
activities during the pause. We have met about five times, and
almost all of our activities can be monitored on the Editorial
list.

In Solidarity,
