[Seattle-editorial] Mir Searches-any hints?

S.B., Anyone? 

How does one search in our new system? I'd like to go back and find
the posts at the beginnig for example, which I could before do by
entering a low story id number.

And searches by name and subject are even more important.

I had been meaning to ask, but Paco inspired me. And I'm sure Paco
doesn't really want us to go back to Active ;-)).

Is anyone there capable of dealing with the "search" problem? By
leaving the search box blank one could see both the comments and
articles in the order of arrival with the old software. (This was
one of its several advantages.) But the new software is a real step
backwards in this regard. More, it's much worse even when one does
an ordinary search. 

I know that this problem has been complained about since December,
and I would come fix it myself had I the technical knowledge to do
so. But isn't there anyone in the IMC community that knows how to
fix this? Or maybe we should go back to the old software?
